Billabong City Squared Indo Skateboarding Competition is coming to Jakarta in October 23rd 2011!!
Get ready for one of the biggest skateboarding competition Indonesia has
ever seen – Billabong City Squared Indo!!
The event, presented by Sony Ericsson, is an elite one with a
Rp. 60.000.000 prize pool for 32 highly skilled skaters will be keenly sought
after. It is going to happen on 23rd of October 2011 in one of the
largest and busiest shopping district of Jakarta.
“I have never seen a skate event with this huge amount of
prize money ever being held in Indonesia. This is big!” Exclaimed Tony Sruntul,
Billabong’s South East Asia Skate team Manager. “With this much prize and
experience to gain, I’m sure skaters all over Indonesia will gear up and step up
their game.”
Billabong City Squared Indo also boasts an over 15m x 5m
obstacle course custom built just for this event.
The qualification for the event will be held on 9th
of October during FORNAS (Festival Olahraga Rekreasi Nasional) in Gelora Bung
Karno and only the best skaters can compete on those sick rail, ledge and stair
steps.
